To gain competitive advantage, all companies recognize that IT needs to be effectively aligned with business needs, delivering business requirements in a timely manner and at the lowest costs. Traditionally companies have relied on their own IT organizations. However, because of the diverse skill sets needed to deliver solutions with the many new emerging technologies, more and more companies are contracting external consultants to fill this knowledge gap. Companies though have been struggling with external consultants rates and/or quality of work; either rates are so cost prohibitive that organizations can only contract consultants on a short term basis or rates that are so low that quality is compromised and companies must sign long term commitments. | To achieve our objectives eMIT is organized as a consortium of consultants. These consultants work for eMIT as independents thus allowing eMIT to pass on the savings to our clients. Consultants' participation in this network is by invitation only depending on qualifications in his or her particular field of expertise and past works. All our consultants are Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, IBM, and BEA certified. eMIT is staffed with Project Managers,
Architects, Project Leaders and QA Engineers. Organizations consider eMIT as an extension of their development organizations.
