Why choose us
To gain competitive advantage, all companies recognize that IT needs to be effectively aligned with business needs, delivering business requirements in a timely manner and at the lowest costs. Traditionally companies have relied on their own IT organizations. However, because of the diverse skill sets needed to deliver solutions with the many new emerging technologies, more and more companies are contracting external consultants to fill this knowledge gap. Companies though have been struggling with external consultants rates and/or quality of work; either rates are so cost prohibitive that organizations can only contract consultants on a short term basis or rates that are so low that quality is compromised and companies must sign long term commitments. Furthermore, most consulting engagements are open ended, putting the onus of risks on their clients.

eMIT's mission is to provide organizations with an alternative:

  • Rapid Development and High Quality
  • Low Costs and Fixed Price (Low Flat Rates)

To achieve our objectives eMIT is organized as a consortium of consultants. These consultants work for eMIT as independents thus allowing eMIT to pass on the savings to our clients. Consultants' participation in this network is by invitation only depending on qualifications in his or her particular field of expertise and past works. All our consultants are Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, IBM, and BEA certified. eMIT is staffed with Project Managers, Architects, Project Leaders and QA Engineers. Organizations consider eMIT as an extension of their development organizations.

Recent projects
  • U.S. Department of Energy: High-Performance Hybrid Simulation/Measure-Based Tools for Proactive Operator Decision-Support
  • China Southern Power Grid: Reliability and risk assessment for power system security.
  • Cedars-Sinai: Re-architect and re-design Medical Record Management (MRM) system using Apple software framework
  • GE Capital: Design and implement a generic data quality validation system using SOA technology that creates a loosely coupled, service-oriented services approach, leveraging current systems while allowing maximum flexibility as business processes change over time. Data integration is achieved by encapsulating interfaces to data sources.
  • Department of Homeland Security: Migration of 2 million lines of code including Fortran, C/C++, PL/SQL from a client/server application to a web-based application.
  • Department of Homeland Security: Design and implement a grid computing framework for an "application" with integration to existing applications.
  • China North Power (Shanxi): Design and implement an enterprise metering and billing application using Oracle and J2EE technologies.
  • Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI): Design and implement a Common Information Model (CIM) compliant Dynamic Security Assessment system with XML importer and exporter. Custom bi-directional ETL programs to extract/convert data between PSS/E format and CIM XML.
  • Electric Power Research Institute: Design and implement a web based graphical Outage Scheduler System (a blue chip project of EPRI) using J2EE and work flow engine technologies. This is a very configurable application and a lot of business logic can be reconfigured on the admin web pages.
